This blog contains short explainers for topics in contemporary analytic philosophy—the kind of thing that I’d like to have on hand to refer people towards if they ask. Sometimes, I write other commentary.

I do maths and philosophy—the two armchair disciplines—at Magdalen College, Oxford. This blog is so named because my full name (‘Oak Hu’) is pronounced like the letters ‘OQ’, and most of the articles are, well, offhand quibbles. The glasses logo (‘OQ’ in Palatino, with a dot in between) isn’t stolen valor—I have a prescription, although I don’t wear them. Thumbnail pictures are photos I’ve taken.

For more writing, see my personal webpage.
